This trip came to be after our 2016 trip, the day before we play St Andrews (Old) I emailed my Dad and told him to watch the webcam about a specific time. Later that afternoon after we finished I get an email from him, apparently he had been watching the webcam on the 18th hole all day. A plan was hatched slowly to bring him over for his 80th Birthday, he had never been to Scotland or Europe at all and other then Canada had not been out the US since he was in the Airforce in the 1950’s.

Almost exactly a year later four of us arrived in Scotland with a condo overlooking the 18th Green of the Old Course.
