Things we learned on our Marathon golf trip
- The first full day we knew was going to be a long one but we really wanted to play both course though our tee time at Royal Portrush was 3:00PM, we rolled back into the hotel at 11:00PM looking for dinner and then were up early to drive several hours for the next round
- The GPS on the drive to Waterville took us through the middle of the island instead of the better route on the ring of Kerry. While we saw some scenery we would not otherwise have seen well it was a stressful drive to say the least on a very narrow road for a couple hours.
- We drove about 1100 Kilometers in the rental cars roughly
- There was a heat wave while we were on this trip, half a degree Celsius from setting the hottest temperature in recorded history.
